"I trust our city, and I trust their judgment," Davies said.
Kwong said 29 dispensaries are currently in the midst of the approval process. Kwong said the city will likely extend a January deadline to process those applications because of this delay.
Fear of legal action has also led a Stockton dispensary to voluntarily close its doors this week.
The Federal government is still against the idea of full legalization of medical marijuana even for medical use so it is a must to take the precautionary measure in using this alternative medicine.
